Was plenty balanced while I got to play. But then again, I was only playing against computer. Some awesome fun though, 9 more days after 12 years of waiting is just that much harder.

Fooska you couldn't have waited 12 years, you were not even born when the original came out! Or at least not supposed to play it! So is it that awesome? ps: I assume the balancing is needed for PvP since, well, when you are doing the campaign, launching your initial 3 zergs against a full base would get you slaughtered pretty quickly.

I first played Starcraft at age 7.
And the balance seems fine to me, I played with 2 friends against a bunch of computers - the AI is actually extremely good, it behaves like a player would. But the beta closed down last night. So now I use my last few hours of playing time on WoW to get set up for cataclysm, then settle in for the final wait.

OMG Fooska you were too young, SC is gory! Silly kids! Joke appart, are you going to play reuse-ism then? Nothing I have seen makes me want to give them money... they fucking reused the Lady Vashj model this time... first time I see them daring to reuse a final boss... Will there be mini Ragnaros everywhere in the Barrens now? At least it looks like they have increased the difficulty of dungeons, which is great, because the few I did when I played for a month was just retarded in Wotlk. "hey somebody forgot to set this to heroic?" "nope it's like that". I need to start grouping in Age of Conan. They have pretty pimp instances in the expansion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzIY7MyoqOUApparently the hard mode of that place is pretty sick. The whole region is though. Basically the closer you are from the crater where the instances are located, the more debuffed you get, and the mobs have tough abilities. I am often hanging out over there for fun, but there are few people who do so. I can understand why though, some of these mobs have an ability which 2-shots you, so if you don't interrupt... you run back.

Ragnaros IS in Cataclysm you know. you fight him in Hyjal.
They also basically reused C'thun with Yogg-Saron, and all dragon models are basically the same except for being reskinned. They have been doing it for a long time Furn. Also: I will be buying, as of last week I got every class to 80, with all except priest and warrior quite well geared. I might not buy day one, but I will be coming back to the game once its out.

Fooska, yeah I saw he was back. But I would hope he would get a different model... With Vashj I think that is the first time they are so lazy that they don't modify the model of an end boss... Ah wait there are Gronns everywhere too.
I hope you have finished clearing the dishes before heading over to the lines for the midnight release!

I've never done and will never do a midnight release. I don't need a reminder of what I really am.

So I was looking at reviews and I bumped into that one...
--- extract ---
NOW, WHERE IS THE REST OF THE GAME JIM? Why only 4 stars then? Well, in a nutshell, greed got the better of them - and they try to turn the StarCraft franchise into yet another World of WarCraft phenomenon. In effect, using STARCRAFT II as the vehicle, BLIZZARD is trying to do for BattleNet what VALVE did for STEAM with HALF-LIFE 2.
Unfortunately this results in a barely palatable product and using your fan-base to advance your corporate ambitions is always tacky.
Although priced even more than a full premium game, this is not a complete STARCRAFT sequel. You would not know this by its price(!) but this is only A...THIRD of the game, the first part of three. You can only play the Terran campaign.
The Zerg and the Protoss campaigns (probably shorter too) will be released independently later (and priced as if they were full games, one could safely bet).
To add insult to injury, one has to keep spending even more money if he wants any "premium maps" and "premium units" sold only via the BattleNet. Since this is a game that will be played mostly online don't be ready to dismiss this if you have a competitive streak.
--------------
WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously, are they only selling one campaign only? What kind of crap is that? Fine if you are on eSport, but what if you couldn't care less playing against other players and just want to enjoy the normal storyline??

That guy left out the part wherein the Terran campaign has 29 missions. For reference, in SC1, there were 30 missions total. I played the campaign for 6 and a half hours and completed.....11%. Also: The "premium" online features he mentions was something that they mentioned once, and never again. Not sure where you found that review Furn, but it isn't a very good one.

Also: the campaign has a clear resolution, meaning its not just a vessel to sell the next game. And so what if it's 60$? Every Blizzard game that wasn't an expansion has been 60 since D2 came out. Every one has been worth it.
